Lyons is an eclectic little town tucked against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Its roots are grounded in the history of the very rock it rests upon, and it has blossomed to become an outdoor recreation destination and an arts and entertainment mecca. Local commitment to sustainability is growing as the Green Heart Community Initiative is bringing education and solutions to 300 families in town.
 
 
 
 
 
The Lyons Initiative is being funded by the StEPP Foundation as a part of a settlement with Colorado regulators regarding local air pollution violations by CEMEX, a cement plant near Lyons. Read more. TAKE LOCAL ACTION.
